CONCLUSION:
The present study did not provide evidence that pesticide lowers the ascorbic acid content of
Lycopersicon esculentum fruits. Although, it is clear that, some of the higher doses increase
the ascorbic acid content in tomato fruits; it also meets the RDA of per day requirement of
adult male and female. The contribution of present study was to provide the data regarding
effect of pesticides on content of ascorbic acid. But we cannot ignore the various effects of
pesticides on human health and environment.
