3CL protein's activity, preventing the virus from replicating, and then terminated the
infection. It was shown in an in a molecular docking study that tinocaulin was a significant
protease inhibitor of the SARS‐2 virus (O. Trottier et al., 2020). The Berberine, Isocombin,
Tinocord, & Magnoflôlinioxite compounds discovered from Giloy have binding affinity for
all the four critical targets present in the SARS‐2 S-C domain (6VSB), RNA-dependent RNA
polymer (6M71), virus receptor (6J), and key protease (Y) (Sagar & Kumar, 2020).
Conclusion
The review of the available literature suggests that the plants and their by-products have
endless medicinal benefits. A thorough knowledge of the composition and medicinal property
of these medicinal plants can help mankind to boost the immunity in natural ways and
improve life. The review of published literature about the chemical composition and the
potential of particular chemical compounds to fight the pathogens is very effective
information to be passed into the society. Right knowledge of medicinal properties, chemical
composition and germ combating property of plants can help the residents across the world to
use plants and their by-products to strengthen the immune system and sustain a better life on
planet earth. Table 1 suggests some of the plant products and their use in common alignments
(Mazid et al., 2012).
