               Scope of Further studies
About 20,000 plant based products (species and herbs) are known to have medicinal

properties, but only about 800 plant communities rely on the local populace for their use in

treating different medical maladies (Dev, 1997). The current study has focussed only
commonly available/house hold plant products to study their properties. The paper calls upon

further studies to review and publish the goodness of endless plant based products which can
be beneficial for mankind and shall also help in environment conservation by increasing the

awareness about plants and their medicinal uses.
