Introduction

Chemistry is an incredibly fascinating field of study. It plays an important role in everyone’s life and touches almost every aspect of our existence in some way. Chemical technologies enrich our quality of life in numerous ways by providing new solutions to problems in health, materials and energy usage. Chemistry is primarily studied by students planning professional careers as chemists in industry, universities or research institutes. To achieve these goals, R. Venkatraman Chemical Society was set up in the college in session 2011-12 in the name of Venkatraman Ramakrishan, who got Nobel Prize in chemistry for “Studies of structure and function of ribosome” in the year 2009.
