are added to the plant to enhance their growth. Then after 15 - 20 days, 1g of Bacillus was

dissolved in 100 ml of distilled water and then sprayed to the plants. Likewise, it is done for
all other proportions (2%, 3%, 4%) and the same for other plants also. In the same way, the

other two combinations were also sprayed. Then they are observed for about another 10 days
and their growth parameters like shoot length, leaf width, seed germination rate, fresh weight,

and dry weight of the samples were measured after 1 month of growth. The soil which
contains Bacillus, Trichoderma and also coconut water were tested for their nutrient analysis.

Seed germination rate is measured by using the following formula:

                                                                                 No. of seeds germinated

                                   Seed germination rate % = ––––––––––––––––––––– × 100

                                                                                  Total no. of seeds used

               Statistical analysis

Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed on all parameters to compare treatment

effects on the application of bioinoculants. Means were separated by using Duncan’s
Multiple Range Test (DMRT) (IBM SPSS 20 version)

               RESULTS AND DISCUSSION:

Control was grown in the normal red soil without any treatment in which Chickpeas
showed 21.3cm shoot length, 2.03cm leaf length, 0.66cm leaf width and 66.6% seed

germination rate Microbial inoculations significantly influenced the Cicer arietinum plant leaf
               length (F12,38=8.896; P < 0.001), fresh and dry weight (F12,38=2.40& 2.256; P < 0.01) (Table 1).

Chillies attained shoot length of about 6.03cm, leaf length of about 3.26cm, leaf width of

about 1.43cm and seed germination rate of about 50%. Lablab purpureus showed 6.5cm
shoot length, 4.8cm leaf length, 4.2cm leaf width and 75% seed germination rate. Mung bean

attained shoot length of about 5.76cm, leaf length of about 3.5cm, leaf width of about 2.33cm
and seed germination rate of about 49.9%.

Chickpeas attained its best growth in 2% of Bacillus. It showed average shoot length
of about 24.4cm, leaf width of about 0.9cm, leaf length of about 3.0cm and average seed

germination rate of about 83.3%. Chillies attained its best growth in 4% of Bacillus. It

showed shoot length of about 6.3cm, leaf width of about 1.7cm, leaf length of about 3.6cm
and seed germination rate of about 72.2%. Chickpeas when grown in Trichoderma, it has

attained best growth in 1% of T. viride. It has a shoot length of about 24.4am, leaf width of
