Threats to Vanda wightii Rchb.f.:

               Destruction of hosts and habitats happened by road widening and railway lines in forest area.
               Usually, some small regions or area covered with threatened species can causes threat, as this

               information  vanda  wightii  rediscovery  says  the  orchid  is  endangered  to  Karnataka.  Lot  of
               combustions from vehicles on road side makes the species in threaten. Forest fire leads to

               threat even for Vanda wighti due to increase in temperature and Termite attack on the bark of
               host species leads to fall off from host tree where the orchid is attached by epiphytic roots.

               Few flowers (5-7) cause threat to Vanda wightii, (due to lack of pollination and fruiting) less

               pollinators  to  set  seed  formation  causes  threat.  Due  to  sunburn  and  high  temperature  also
               threat  to  Vanda wightii. Due to  illegal  trading of orchids  by non-experts  gardeners  Vanda

               wightii (as it has got beautiful greenish yellow flowers) is going to be extinct.


               Collection and Conservation:

               The collection done with help of brief morphological studies on orchid, Due to their range of
               diversity  in  shape,  size  and  colour  of  flower  and  comprised  of  herbaceous  plants,

               characterized by distinct floral morphology, the purpose of collection was done by based on
