               Plant  leaf  samples  and  algal  scum  collected  from  the  crop  fields  at  different seasons
               indicated very interesting and alarming results. The algal scum collected from the crop  fields

               contained  algal  species  like  collected  from   Nostoc  muscorum,  C.Agardh, Anabaena
               cylindrica,  Lemm., Westiellopsis prolifica, Janet , Calothrix sps., Scytonema sps. and some

               other species not identified. Nostoc muscorum, C.Agardh was the dominant algal species in
