               Data Collection
                       The present study was conducted in a planned and systematic manner. It covers the

               local areas of Pappanamcode village. Regular field trip was conducted in the study area at

               weekly intervals between August 2018 and March 2019. Specimens of plants were collected
               and identified taxonomically by using the regional floras (Beddome 1869 – 1873; Hooker

               1872 – 1897; Gamble and Fischer 1915 – 1936; Nair and Daniel 1986; Henry et al. 1989;
               Mathew 1999). The relevant photographs and fresh specimens were collected in flowering or

               fruiting stage for authentication. The herbarium specimens were prepared for further study.

               Enumeration of the species
                       Botanical names were checked with online databases such as, International Plant

               Name Index (IPNI) (http://www.ipni.org), and the Plant List version 1(2010) (http://www.the
               plantlist.org) for accepted botanical names, author citations and families. Plants were

               classified according to APG 4 system of classification.
               Maps and Photographs

                       Geographical maps are provided to identify the location of study area. Color

               photographs of study area, anthropogenic activities, natural calamities and plant species
