Two Days National Conference on Recent Advances in Science and Technology on 3rd - 4th April, 2020

About the conference :-

The impact of Science and Technology In modern life is beyond imagination. Developments in Science and Technology are fundamentally altering the way people live, connect, communicate and transact with profound effects on economic development. Science and technology are key drivers to development because technological and scientific revolutions underpin economic advance, improvement in health systems & infra-structures.Science is creating wonders almost every day. The progress in agriculture, medicine and healthcare, telecommunication, transportation, computerization and so on is a part of our daily life. Scientific knowledge allows us to develop new technologies, solve new practical problems and make informed decisions.

New scientific knowledge may lead to new applications and hence the evolution of technology. The present conference aims at providing premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to share original research contributions and practical developments in the field of science and technology, present and discuss the mostrecent innovations, trends and practical challenges encountered as well as the solutions adopted in the fields of development in science and technology. Additionally, the increasing role of computational techniques and software tools in the analysis of present day big data in sciences will also be highlighted.

The trend of mathematics and physics towards unification provides the physicists with a powerful new method of research into the foundations of their subject, a method which has not yet been applied successfully, but which we feel confident will prove its value in the future.

Computers play a very crucial role in the advancement of physics. The derivations of theories or models and obtaining their solutions manually are very difficult. Thus the algorithms are developed or theoretical models and from those algorithms the computer codes are developed. These computer codes would solve the complex integrations and do the required calculations in no time. In case of experimental physics the data obtained from the experiment is analyzed with the help of computer software.

Physics tries to explain the same phenomenon as biochemistry and molecular biology by creating equations that can describe what is being observed, with the help of mathematics and computer technology. Physics often plays a fundamental role in developments within the life sciences. Physics is perceived to have its greatest responsibility in the development of advanced technology for medicine. We wish physics to challenge the way that life scientists perceive and understand the biological world and for life scientists to challenge physicists to develop new and exciting technology and techniques to enable novel research. Thus the relationship is synergistic to the benefit of both sciences

This conference will provide a platform for physicists, mathematicians and computer experts to share their views and make collaborations for the better research facilities.

 

About Department of Physics :-

 

The department of physics was established in 1970 as undergraduate department and has recently progressed to achieve the status of a Post Graduate department with five state of the art labs. The department aims to promote the research skills among the undergraduate and post graduate students. The department has collaborations with Indian Association of Physics teachers and Vigyan Prasar. The college has set a start-up lab for all science department UV-VIS spectrometer, FTIR Spectrometer and other facilities available to students and teachers to promote research in sciences. Various research projects are carried out by faculty with the students to enhance Hands-on-experiment skills and innovative out of the box thinking. Students of the department have been visiting various institutes and industries for experiential learning and get an idea of various options in higher education. Our students show hundred percent result in university exams and many of them bag top positions in merit list. Our students have been placed in various National and International institutes for higher studies. Many of our alumnae have been working in the industrial sector also.
