COLLEGE CALENDAR


The Academic Session is divided into three terms. i.e.

• FIRST TERM from July to September,

• SECOND TERM from October to December, and

• THIRD TERM from January to March.

 

THE FIRST TERM:

Starting with admissions, this term mainly covers the following functions:

  • 1. ORIENTATION : New students are extended welcome and are familiarized with their institution.

  • 2. Societies and Clubs hold their functions

  • 3. Talent search programmes are held.

  • 4. Motivational Programmes for the merit students are held.

  • 5. House exams / tests are held at the end of the term.

  • 6. 35% of the syllabi is covered in this term.

THE FIRST TERM IS FOLLOWED BY THE AUTUMN BREAK, from the last week of September to the first week of October.

 

 

THE SECOND TERM 

The second Term mainly covers the following:-

  • 1. Functions of Societies.

  • 2. University Youth Festival and Inter-college competitions.

  • 3. More Motivational and Career Counseling Programmes.

  • 4. Exams in the first week of December.

  • 5. 75 - 80 % of the total syllabi is covered in second term

THE SECOND TERM comes to an end with the WINTER BREAK, from the last week of December till the first week of January.

 

 

 

THE THIRD TERM - FINAL TERM

The Third and Final term of the year covers the following:

  • 1. Extension Lectures etc.   

  • 2. College Fete in first / second week of February.

  • 3. Annual Prize Distribution function in second/third week of February.

  • 4. Valedictory Function.

  • 5. College Convocation in March/April.

  • 6. Annual Exams in the last week of March.

  • 7. The remaining 20% of the syllabi is covered and extensive revision is done.

THE SUMMER BREAK STRATS IN THE FIRST WEEK OF MAY.

 

 

PLEASE NOTE :

• The dates of all the functions and activities are fixed during the session. Dates of the holidays are in accordance with the directives from the University.

• Sports activities go on all through the session till February.
